Whitney Houston Allegedly Died From THIS Drug Cocktail: Xanax, Valium and Alcohol!
Is this finally the answer???
While we wait for confirmation from the coroner, new reports are insisting Whitney Houston died from a cocktail of Valium, Xanax, and alcohol.
But the report can determine which drug mostly contributed to her untimely death.
An inside source says:
Whitney had taken Valium, Xanax, and alcohol, which led to her [...]

Video: The Rosebuds play "Woods" unplugged in New York
News has been sparse from The Rosebuds lately but that could be because the band has been busy settling into their new digs in Brooklyn. The band took to the streets of the Greenpoint neighborhood to play a fantastic version of "Woods" for the series The Bowery Presents: Live. Check out the performance below.
It's fantastic to see the band still pushing forward after a turbulent few years. If you don't know what I mean, listen to the band's latest album Loud Planes Fly Low (or check our album review HERE).

Unlike the sparse arrangement on the recording, the band performed the song with as a five-piece including a trombone which is pretty cool. Check out the performance below.

David Beckham Honored At The 2nd Annual Cartoon Network Hall Of Game Awards
Our dear Britney Spears was in attendance this weekend at the International Olympic Committee World Conference on Women and Sport and, as you can see, posed for a couple of really cute photos with athletes and former olympians Michelle Kwan (ice skating) and Nadia Comaneci (gymnastics). Now, I have *no idea at all* what Britney was doing at this IOC event but I have to say, she looked fabulous in her white dress and clearly appeared to be having a great time. Check out the photos below and see for yourselves.
The IOC organizes a World Conference on Women and Sport every four years with the objective of analyzing the progress made within the Olympic Movement and identifying ways to improve and increase the participation of women in the world of sport. Approximately 600 participants from more than 130 countries are expected to participate, representing National Olympic Committees, International Federations, Non-Government Organizations (NGO), universities and other organizations. The program will include breakout sessions, cultural events, keynote speakers and forums.
I don’t believe that Britney participated in any of the breakout sessions and/or keynote speeches … my guess is that she was just there to party. As far as I know, Britney hasn’t really ever been much of an olympics fan but I’ll be she’s a big personal fan of these female athletes. In the end, it really doesn’t matter why Britney was there … I’m just glad that she was ;D

Kings of Leon new song 2011,2012
Well I guess Kings of Leon will be taking a 6 month tour break after their tour in Australia and it looks like they have already have a new song! You can hear parts of their new song in this video below! I love the raspy sound that only Caleb can produce.
KOL will finish their Australian tour then take their six month break, which should give them a chance to get into the studio and put some more songs together. I imagine Caleb and the boys have already started writing during their small break! I have always heard that most artists write some of their best songs during hard times in their life. ! Canceling the whole U.S. then having a lot of fans angry at them this year and not to mention all the employees who were working for both Kings of Leon and Band of Horses ,had to be hard on them all! So it is quite possible we could all be in for one of their best albums yet!
My wife and I are still waiting to hear from our contact with MTV over our lost tour pass! I think they are probably waiting on kol to give them their plans. We are sure they will be giving us another tour pass but we already lost so much on the pre-paid hotels that it will be hard for us to save what it will take to go this time around! Plus it will also be hard for me to get pre-paid rooms again which will help because they are a lot cheaper per night! We will just have to wait and find out! Hopefully we will have a lot of visitors to this blog and the people who do visit will see adz they like and click on them which will help us out as we get a little money each time someone does! If you are someone who wants to help out and you can afford to then please use the paypal donate button at the top! We would also like you to leave a message if you do decide to donate so we can thank you!
Here is their new song with more below
I hope that all the Australians enjoy both Kings of Leon and Band of Horses! And I hope that they get to hear Kings of Leon's new song. I know I cannot wait to hear kol's new song and hopefully by the time they get back to the US they will have more than just the one new song! I really do believe that we are all in for a great new album from Kings of Leon and I will waiting for that pre-sale of the new kol album!
I am also waiting for their tour mates band of Horses new album as they have been playing a couple of new songs and I cannot wait to here the whole album. I think we are all in for a treat because I have heard a few of Band of Horses new songs and there is one that is especially good! I think it will be their first single off their new album! We will just have to wait and see!

Kings of Leon Setlist, video & review for concert at Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Hindmarsh Sa, Australia on Nov 11, 2011
Back in October when the boys were in Canada they seemed to have stripped the stage of all the screens and went to a more basic stage presence but now it looks like all 6 video strips are back along with a few full video screens. Maybe they had problems with getting all their equipment to the past shows? They do have to tear down and set up at each show and with someone driving all their equipment to each show there can be troubles with the semi's or road work, etc that could have been the reason for their stripped down shows in Canada! Of course it also could simply be they just wanted to get back to the basic's after their break and did not want to add a lot of stress to an already stressful first few shows after returning! I for one am happy to see their stage back to full glory!
Here is a video of the show at Adelaide entertainment center in S. Australia on 11-11-11 what an easy date for fans to remember too! Nov 11, 2011 is a date I would have loved to be at! You can also check out some fan reviews on superglued.com by going here superglued
I did not realize how big the adelaide entertainment center that kol played at was so big but if you want to do a virtual tour then use this link! I will say one thing...this place looks beautiful and I would love to see it in person one day! Maybe when I am 70 I will be able to see the boys from kol here of course it won't be as special by then! haha here is the link below!

Kings of Leon at Rod Laver Arena ,Melbourne, Vic, Australia on Nov 16, 2011 (setlist, news, video)
I noticed that all their stage equipment was with them as well and after the few stripped down shows in Canada, that is a great sight to see! I went to google maps to see Rod Layer Arena so I could get a better feel for where the boys from Kings of Leon would be playing and it looked to be a big arena! I also noticed a stadium close to this one that was even bigger! Seeing that stadium made me wonder if Caled and the boys were able to watch a real a real game of football called rugby! Since they love college football and their Oklahoma Sooners! Maybe they even meet some of the big time players and got to see the huge stadium! Of course they might even have had some of the players watching their show! haha makes ya wonder! They did get this picture! Nathan has said he loves to golf and has been in a contest or two! Jared must have been off somewhere planking!! haha or I guess the new thing now is Tebowing! What will they think of next?
Tweeted by Nathan: “Handsomeville population 4. Boomer Sooner” | Caleb, Nacho, Nathan and Chris | President’s Cup, Melbourne (17 Nov 11)
Lead singer Caleb Followill admitted he had been quaking in his boots five years ago when the US rock group played the arena, supporting Pearl Jam.
"I don't think I've ever been so terrified as I was then waiting to come on," he told the crowd. "But I'm not afraid any more."
The Use Somebody band have been living it up in Melbourne.
After catching up with Joe and Tony Hachem after the show, they ended up back at Crown playing poker until late.
I don't know about you all but I would have loved to run into them at the Crown while they were playing poker! I do have a few friends that did run into them at a bar in Indianapolis, Indiana back in 09. I guess the boys were down stairs in this bar so my friends didn't get to hang out or anything but the boys were really nice to them and they even got a picture with each of them! Even though we spent the day with them during the filming of 'Back Down South' we were not able to get any pics with the band or anyone else! We did get to take plenty of pictures of them and tons of video as that was what we were told to do, when they gave us all the kodak playsport camera's!
Thanks to a few awesome fans who took the time to actually take video, we can now enjoy that moment in time! I love to live through the video's of shows I have not been able to attend. Here is one from a youtube user who's channel is called DBJ190. Thank you dbj190 for posting! We all know it is hard to stop rocking at a kol show and it is even harder to hold still while filming so what you took was pretty good!
Everyone seems to be really having a blast and I can only imagine what it was like to be there! One day we will hopefully get to join in on the Australian side and rock from down under!
I love how all of the fans (in this next video) sing along with Caleb! I have been to shows where the majority of the people only knew 2 songs and if you are reading this then I probably don't have to tell you which ones! haha Here is another video of 'Revelry'
And if these songs weren't enough they actually played one of my favorites ....Fans !
I was so jealous of these fans when I saw the setlist as they didn't play this at our last show and I was really thinking they would do to all of the old songs they had been playing! I think this is a little look at what we might expect at our shows coming up in their next tour. But like I have been saying for awhile now...I believe they will be taking the 6 months off to get back into the studio and record more! Though I think they will take next summer 2012 and actually do the make-up tour for us guys here in the US! I think we will hear some of their new songs then but I don't think it will get released till the end of the year or possibly 2013. But we will all just have to wait and see! Here is the fan video of 'Fans'
And here is the setlist ! Sorry I do not have the time to flip it or I would! maybe later!
I hope the fans enjoyed this set because I know I would have loved it!
Well all in all I think the fans were treated to a great show! When Kings of Leon returns it should be with some new songs and a tuely refreshed attitude. I just hope we have the money to be able to visit all the shows we would have this year with our tour pass! I am hoping for a new job or to win the lottery! Until then I will just have to work at the job I have and hope for a miracle.

Kings of Leon's 2nd place winners, 'Road to Slane Castle' forgotten
Well it looks like we will never get our prize from Kings of Leon , MTV , Superglued , or Poptolife (the marketing and promotion people who handled the prize distribution)!
We are the winners of a contest called Road to Slane Castle a contest with the top prize being an all expense paid trip to Ireland to see Kings of Leon play live and a 2nd place prize being a tour pass to all 30 KOL shows here in the U.S., along with other prizes of band equipment!
After several emails to my contact with poptolife, they just tell me that they are waiting for Kings of Leon to ad another U.S. tour! I am sorry, but these people could have done something for all that we lost due to the tour being cancelled!
We are a working poor couple, who save very hard for the one thing we both enjoy and that is seeing Kings of Leon in concert! We realize that they cannot make Kings of Leon ad another tour until the boys are ready but they could at least help us with the cost of all our hotels and other money we spent in anticipation the tour pass! We pre-paid for 14 hotel rooms (which means no refund) only because we were able to get Candlewood Suites to give us a $30 dollar a night break on each stay!
We didn't want to let something as special as this go to waste! We even asked if we could give all but 2 of the shows away but we were told we couldn't give the tour pass to anyone! We didn't want the other people in the contest, to think we just wasted a great gift by not going to as many shows as possible! Of course, we also wanted to see as many shows as we could afford! We cut every corner we could to save for these shows only to end up losing our entire savings!
I know that two thousand dollars might not be a huge savings to some people (like the boys from KOL seeing as how they actually spent that much on one bottle of wine) but this was everything to us!
All of this doesn't even take into consideration the money we lost taking off of work! We tried to get put back on the schedule but were not able to so we each lost two paychecks and if it weren't for us having vacation time it would have been three weeks!
Things like this do not come every day for people like most of us so when it does I think anyone would have done as we did! This was the most excited we had been in a long time! We don't go out to eat or out to the movies as a lot of people do because we simply cannot afford to, so when you lose money that took you 5 years to save it really is a very hard blow! I think we have both been very nice to our contact with poptolife so you would think they would try and do something to help us out!
I am starting to feel like they are taking advantage of us! Maybe I am wrong but if it were either one of us (in our contacts shoes) then I know we would be talking to MTV or Kings of Leon to see what kind of help we could provide for a couple of fans, who have lost everything because of them cancelling their tour!
Maybe I am just upset at the moment but I think anyone would be if they were in our shoes! What do you think? Would you do all you could to help out a couple, if you were in their shoes?

Church's "Blood, Sweat & Beers" sets Carolina return
Grammy-nominated country music hit-maker and Granite Falls, NC-native Eric Church brings his "Blood, Sweat, & Beers" Tour to his home state in November. He headlines Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte November 28.The fall tour caps a banner year for Church. His album "Chief" debuted at #1 on both the Country and Billboard 200 charts in July 2011. In January the album's second single, "Drink in My Hand" marked Church's first #1 hit. Its third single, "Springsteen," recently cracked the Hot 100 - signaling his crossover status. Over 25 dates on his recent headlining tour have sold out. Oh, and there was that Grammy nomination for Best Country Album (it went to Lady Antebellum).
He and his wife Katherine also welcomed their first child, Boone McCoy, in October 2011.
Church's fall tour begins in Amherst, Mass. in mid-September and runs through mid-December. Special guests Justin Moore and Kip Moore (no relation) will open the tour, which also stops at Columbia's Colonial Life Arena November 30.
Church, 35, grew up in Granite Falls near Hickory and graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in marketing. In addition to his biggest country hits "Drink in My Hand" and "Springsteen," his Top 20 country singles include "Two Pink Lines," "Homeboy," "Love Your Love the Most," "Smoke a Little Smoke" and "Guys Like Me."

106.5 The End to resurrect Weenie Roast?
The concert is set for September 16 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre.
Coincidentally WEND's End of Summer Weenie Roast and Garbage bowed out around the same time. The alt-rock band went on indefinite hiatus after 2005's "Bleed Like Me." The End hosted what was assumed would be it's "last weenie" on September 11, 2005 with headliner Three Doors Down as well as Shinedown, Alter Bridge, and 30 Seconds to Mars. Garbage released its debut album in 1995 - the same year of the inaugural Weenie Roast.
Updates about the September 16 lineup and ticket information will be posted as it becomes available.

British transplant releases album with Charlotte-based band, books string of upcoming shows
Charlotte has been pretty short on British-influenced popmusic - Brit-pop if you will - especially since the demise of shoegazerinfluenced bands like Bellglide, First Night on Earth, and Laburnum, who all referencedthe `80s and `90s in some way. Coincidentally a couple members of those bands -guitarist Taylor Short and bassist Wes Grasty - have found an actual Brit toback as part of the Rels (with drummer Donnie Merritt - pictured right with Grasty, Crozer, and Short from left to right). Band leader Mark Crozerisn’t simply a Charlotte transplant. He’s a former guitarist for veteranScottish alternative rock band the Jesus & Mary Chain. He fell in love withan American during JAMC’s 2007 reunion tour, married had a child, and relocated to Charlotte.Crozer brings a winking “Doctor Who” reference to the band’sname and a batch of mostly sunny songs that flit between a more accessibleversion of his old band mates (imagine JAMC without the cloud of distortion)and Beatles-esque pop. By the way aRel is the Dalek unit of measurement for time on the long running Britishsci-fi series. A Dalek is probably Who’s most widely recognized enemy - in caseyou were wondering. (I’ll stop there. Is my geek showing?)
In April, Crozer released his self-titled album. The album actually doesn't feature the Charlotte-based players who make up his live band, who he met after finishing the album.
It begins with “War Drum” - a sort of a declaration. There’s even a touch of Southern garage rock in the guitar line. “I Need aVaccination” is a zippy punk-tinged number. Another favorite, “Killed By Karma,”begins with a Cure-like intro (the bassline reminds me of “Inbetween Days”).You can hear that familiar Jesus & Mary Chain guitar tone ringing outespecially during the solo. That sound informs “Sunshine” as well. But these songs are much poppier (even prettier) unless your reference point to JAMC beginsand ends with its 1994 hit collaboration with Mazzy Star’s Hope Sandoval “SometimesAlways.”
There’s a lot more than Crozer’s former employers in hissound. There is pretty Moody Blues/Byrds-like singing.Things get downright chipper on “Sunshine” and the bopping “Brand New World.” “You are a Light” is a sunny acoustic lovesong. “Just Another Day” bounces merrily. With the vocal melodies and highharmonies songs like those reference the Rels’ Beatles side. In fact songs “Light” and “Day” sound a lot like what Charlotte’s own Beatles-influenced popveterans the Spongetones have been releasing in recent years (a more moderntake on its Beatles’ influence).
More-often-than-not the Rels tread in more recent retro territorytoo. I particularly like “Put Those `80s Records On.” The title alone is anattention-getter. “Let’s Go to the Moon” reminds me of ahappier Echo & the Bunnymen because of the guitar parts thatbookend the verses. The bridge capturesthe same kind of angst as the Psychedelic Furs at its best. It’s prettymagical.
“Waiting for June” maybe the most unusual track on the album. It builds on pensive strings, piano, and near whispered vocals. It reminds me of a trippy, psychedelic soundtrack thatwould suit “Belle du Jour” if it were remade for today or maybe serve a shot of Austin Powers discovering his latest bell bottom bombshell strutting into theroom and shaking her hair in slow motion.
The melody of “Deep Carolina” bopsalong innocently then swells into a dark, psychedelic guitar solo. “What a FoolI’ve Been” begins with jangly strumming and melancholy apologetic vocals. Thingsget darker as the albums nears its close. A James Bond-like guitar and tension-filledpiano give way to a slightly brighter (thanks to Crozer’s vocals) chorus on “AGood Heart.” The final track, "Bristol Hum," closes the record on a dark, dance-y note with abeat that would be at home in one of Blondie’s disco tracks although it’s themost modern song on the album. “Bristol Hum” contains yet another interestingbridge too. I’ve always been a sucker for a killer bridge and the Rels do them well.
The Rels have a string of shows lined up inJune. The group plays the Thirsty Beaver in Plaza-Midwood Saturday,June 9 with Overmountain Men at 9 p.m. Free. It is also part of the Charlotte Shakespeare Festival at The Green Uptown on Saturday, June 15. Its set starts at 7:15 p.m. Free.
The Rels have also been added to the June 22 bill at SnugHarbor with Temperance League, Wylie Hunter & the Cazadores and Darth Hipster& the Star Destroyer. Admission is $5.
Find Crozer online here or here. Larry Toppman also interview Crozer in December. You can read that story here.
